hello! 👋 i'm a design & AI undergrad at SUTD, currently completing the entrepreneurship programme at UC Berkeley

i've been coding since i was 12 making minecraft mods 🛠️ nowadays my interests lie in the intersection of product, design and AI. i'm often starting weekend projects in design 🎨, chatbots 🤖, hardware 🧰 and other AI-powered products 💬

on the side, i play the piano 🎹 and video games 🎮, run SUTD's entre club and D&D campaigns 🎲, and build cool stuff

i'm looking for a summer internship 💼 in the US for 2024!

  • Bachelor of Science in Design and Artificial Intelligence.
  • Master of Science in Technology Entrepreneurship

  • One of 30 students awarded the prestigious SUTD Technology and Entrepreneurship Programme (STEP) scholarship
  • Jyoti and Aditya Mathur Student Achievement Award for outstanding contributions to SUTD

COMPETITION

Stanford's Treehacks

  • Competed with over 1100 other students in the 36-hour hackathon to develop a solution for the Education track, and won Vespa.ai's Best Hack using an LLM for an innovative language learning browser extension
  • Developed a Chrome extension using Astro and Bun to translate phrases in websites for users to engage in non-intrusive language learning
  • Integrated with an finetuned large-language model (zephyr-7b-beta) and Lix Readability Formula algorithm to calculate sentence difficulties before translating

Ernst & Young

  • Interned as a Technology Consultant in the Technology Solutions Delivery tower
  • Collaborated with users and team leads across 3 workstreams to facilitate brownfield merger of 2 large maritime companies' SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to streamline their project and reporting processes
  • Hosted workshops to gather design requirements and enhancement requests from technical and functional stakeholders
  • Compiled Excel data into detailed business documentation to serve as basis for subsequent SAP implementation
COMPETITION

Singapore Amazing Flying Machine Competition (SAFMC)

  • Developed a swarm algorithm in C++ for Tello Edu drones' ESP architecture for search-and-rescue objectives during Singapore Amazing Flying Competition (SAFMC) 2023 Category E and achieved 2nd runners-up
  • Designed and built custom 3D-printed gyroscope controller using an ESP32 controller and BNO055 sensor for a semi-autonomous drone for SAFMC 2023 Category D1 which entered quarterfinals

Tatsu Works

  • Rejoined the formerly Tatsumaki project as a Full-stack Developer Intern
  • Developed the frontend launch page using React, Next.js and web3.js for the successful launch of Tatsumeeko's Aethereal Parcels products on the Ethereum blockchain.
  • Wrote linear vesting contracts in Anchor on the Solana blockchain using Rust to support the Tatsumeeko NFT project

Completion of National Service

  • Attained rank of 2SG as a Military Police Specialist in Paya Lebar Airbase
  • Served as Platoon Sergeant under 607 Squadron
  • Awarded Best Airman of the Month (March 2020), Best Cadet (41/19 Specialist Cadet Course Foundation Term)
  • Managed a platoon of 27 troopers while overseeing operations across the squadron and defense of the airbase
  • Used Excel VBA to organise and optimise the detailing of troopers

INTERNSHIP

Dioworks Learning

  • Designed and developed DioBrain, an intuitive no-code chatbot creator, using Angular, Express and Mongoose
  • Coordinated the product development cycle by liaising with external educational vendors and developers to launch the adult learning platform DioAcademy
  • Conducted user testing of DioBrain with One World International School students and educators during curriculum activities

Raffles Institution

  • Took 4 H2 Subjects (PCME) and attained the full 90 points (AAAA/AA)
  • Head of Teaching in Raffles Institution Infocomm Society, overseeing the planning of curriculum for members as well as logistics and welfare of the club

  • Conducted interview sessions to capture the needs and requests of Changi Simei GRC residents

Raffles INVENT

  • Wrote a mobile app to categorise skin diseases using images trained by Keras, TensorFlow and TFLearn
  • Deployed the app and backend using Python, Expo and React Native
COMPETITION

Cyber Defenders Discovery Camp

  • Participated in my first ever Capture the Flag competition in the JC and IP Category and won the Silver medal
  • Learnt CTF techniques such as cross-site scripting, exploits and tools in the Kali operating system e.g Armitage

Tatsumaki

  • Chat and command bot on voice and text platform Discord serving over 60 million users
  • Designed framework and infrastructure from the ground up using NodeJS, Eris and Redis
  • Used Canvas for image manipulation for visual entertainment and gaming systems for users
